I have a question for you today. "Do you really know what it’s like ?" We’ve all seen the man at the corner asking for help. The hair on his head is dirty and his clothes are worn and torn. He asks the passerby for a gift with shame in his eyes, "Get a job you slob" is the reply. God forbid you’ve ever had to walk in his shoes. If so, you really might know what it’s like to sing the blues. Then you really might know what it’s like.
Sally got pregnant from a kid named Tom who said he was in love with her. "Don’t worry about anything baby doll," he said. "I’m the man you’ve been dreaming of." Three months later he’s gone and won’t return her calls. She heads to the clinic for care and gets static when entering the door. They call her a killer, they call her a sinner, they call her a whore. God forbid you’ve ever had to walk in her shoes. Then you really might know what it’s like to have to choose. Then you really might know what it’s like.
Rich men beg, good men sin and tough men cry. Losers win, sad men grin and honest men lie. Where you end up just might depend on where you started. God forbid you’ve ever had to wake and hear the news. Cause then you might really know what it’s like to lose. Then you really might know what it’s like. Then you really might know what it’s like.
