From Charlie Gray

The first weeks of a new year are always a time of reflection for most folks. A time that we evaluate, plan and contemplate change. I would suggest that most of us have things we would like to change in our lives. With that, the world we now occupy provides each of us a bounty of validity for concern and uncertainty.

I reflect often about my childhood. It was a time of carefree existence. Those memories trigger the question, where has the "good" gone? Seems we have the right to be disappointed and frustrated with the brokenness of our world. The answer to this question is, as Followers of Jesus, the "good" resides within ourselves. There is no worldly remedy or "fix" that compares to our God given "inner" faith in combating our anxiety.

The spirit is within us. It is intended to shape our attitude and outlook if "we" stay out of the way. When jarred by unwanted circumstances, rely on your faith and the "goodness" that resides within you. Don’t let things of this broken world rob you of the God given joy that occupies you as a believer.
